Chapter Installation Meeting

January 18, 2025 – Sandy Library – Sandy, Utah

On January 18, 2025, members of the newly formed Point of the Mountain Chapter gathered at the Sandy Library for the formal installation of the chapter and its officers. On November 6, 2024, the Utah Society Board of Managers approved the request to charter a new chapter, which would be called the Point of the Mountain Chapter that would include areas within a portion of Salt Lake County and all of Utah County. The application for charter with 18 compatriot names was submitted to National for recording of the new chapter and its members.

After welcoming visitors and guests, Utah Society SAR President Trent Grandy began the ceremony to make the POM Chapter “official.” The words of this ceremony are very thought-provoking. The prospective chapter members affirmed their desire to form this new chapter. With that done, President Grandy installed the new chapter officers.
